Florida/Utah Nonresident Concealed Carry Course

PRE-COURSE RELEASE

I, _____________________________________ am paying a course fee to take either or both of the Florida and/or Utah Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit for the purpose of lawful concealed carry outside of New York State, as prescribed by applicable Federal, State, County and local laws. 

I acknowledge and understand the following 5 important statements: 

(a)  this course covers excerpts of Florida and/or Utah State and US Federal laws relating to concealed carry, but is not legal advice. Nothing in either of the Florida or Utah courses applies in New York State. 

(b)  this course has nothing to do with purchasing, possessing, carrying, using or owning a firearm in New York State. 

(c) a live fire examination is required for the Florida permit to assure the instructor that I can safely handle and discharge a firearm. If I do not pass this test, the instructor will refund my course fee, but cannot pass me on the Florida course. 

(d) I will follow all instructions related to the handling and use of firearms as prescribed by the instructor both on and off the shooting range. I attend this course at my own risk, and completely at my own liability should any loss, injury, accident or death occur. The instructor shall not be held liable for any reason. 

(e)  I recognize that this course does not guarantee that I will receive any pistol permit and that permits are granted based on properly completed, submitted, and approved applications to either or both of the States of Florida and/or Utah. 

I also acknowledge and agree to the following 9 statements: 

(a)    I will deal directly with Florida and/or Utah when applying to secure a CCW permit;

(b)   course fees are completely non-refundable;

(c)    the instructor is not suggesting that I carry a concealed firearm, use a firearm in self-defense, or even own a firearm;

(d)   it is my responsibility to stay on top of any change, and act in accordance with any and all Federal, State, County, Local, or other laws and ordinances related to concealed carry and my conduct with a firearm;

(e)    the instructor has not given any legal advice to me either verbally or through course materials on anything to do with concealed carry.

(f)    information presented in the course may go out of date, and it is my responsibility to stay current on any changes to information that may impact my use of a firearm;

(g)   that I have taken every advantage of opportunities to ask questions about the course and this release;

(h)   that the instructor has no liability for my actions or conduct with a firearm whatsoever and shall not be subject to legal action by me, my family, my heirs, my assigns, or anyone else.

(i)     The instructor has not rushed through material, and has been clear about content for the course.
